As we near the end of another school year, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates from our Web Development and Design class at Dauphin County Technical School.
FBLA State Conference
First and foremost, I am incredibly proud to announce the outstanding achievements of our students at the recent Pennsylvania FBLA state conference. Five of our talented students participated in the “web design” and “web coding” competitions, showcasing their skills and dedication. I’m thrilled to share that our Web Coding team, comprised of Perla and Sonika, clinched the 9th position in the state! Additionally, our Web Design team, consisting of Daniel, Prakash, and Layla, brought home the first-place trophy. Their hard work and creativity have earned them a spot in the National FBLA conference in Orlando, Florida, at the end of June. Let’s all rally behind Daniel, Prakash, and Layla as they represent our school on a national stage!
Occupational Advisory Committee
In other news, I recently had the privilege of hosting an OAC (Occupational Advisory Committee) meeting with industry professionals. It was an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field, discussing potential updates to our syllabus, curriculum enhancements, and emerging industry trends. Below you will find the meeting minutes to this newsletter for those who are interested in learning more about our discussions.
Summer Break
As we approach the summer break, I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a fantastic and rejuvenating time off. Whether you’re planning a vacation, spending quality time with family and friends, or pursuing personal interests, I hope the summer months bring joy and relaxation to each of you.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our students’ educational journey. Together, we are shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
